Well
it's that time of year again and the Lincroft
Inn vegetable patch is starting to grow.
This
year our little patch of earth features
basil, parsley, rosemary, chives, cilantro,
sage, 5 varieties of hot peppers and 2
types of tomatoes. Currently many of the
herbs in our garden are already in use
and can be found in some of our specials.
One of our new specials Grilled Shrimp
Drizzled with Mint Oil, served with a
Salad of Cannelini Beans, Mache Greens,
Diced Red Onion, Rosemary, Marjoram and
Lemon Zest features some of our homegrown
herbs.
With
a history of making all of our dishes
from scratch, growing our own ingredients
is something we love to do. We hope you
enjoy the fruits of our labor and check
out the Summer 2010 "Notes from the
Kitchen" section in this edition
of the Lincroft Inn News for
what dishes will be coming from our garden.
It's
hard work growing, preparing and cooking
your own ingredients but it's what we
love to do and we look forward to you
enjoying the final results. |
